"Uncle Jim" Collins, Chaplin and Honorary Chaplin for several
SCV Camps was handing out flyers for Lee-Jackson Day, Jan 17, 2004, in
Lexington VA. If you picked up a flyer, be sure to read the bottom about
the project that The Stonewall Brigade Camp 1296 is working on - the Lee
Chapel Fund Project.
"Please consider helping the Stonewall Brigade Camp to preserve
General Robert E. Lee's Legacy at Lee Chapel in Lexington, VA. Lee Chapel
is the General's final resting place and a monument to his life and
legacy. Our current goal is to fund the upkeep and restoration of the
original organ in Lee Chapel. The fund can also provide donations for any
restoration or upkeep of the chapel along with sponsoring programs that
honor Robert E. Lee while using Lee Chapel. Please consider making a tax
deductible donation for this important work. Please make your check out to
Stonewall Brigade-Lee Chapel Fund and mail them to the address in
the bottom right corner. Lee's legacy and our Christian Heritage must be
preserved."
